PIKEVILLE, KENTUCKY: Mark A. Gooch, Chairman, President and CEO of Community Trust Bancorp, Inc., is pleased to announce that James Clark has been named the Mt. Sterling Market President of Community Trust Bank, Inc.
Mr. Clark’s responsibilities include providing consumer, residential, and commercial lending options to new and existing clients, as well as offering a variety of financial solutions to individuals and businesses including the acceptance of time and demand deposits, providing cash management services to corporate and individual customers; issuing letters of credit; renting safe deposit boxes, and providing electronic banking and funds transfer services. Mr. Clark also manages the two branch offices in the Mt. Sterling, Kentucky market. His office is located at 110 North Maysville Street in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
Mr. Clark has worked in the banking industry for 25 years, all in the lending area. He graduated from Powell County High School in Stanton, Kentucky. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado in Westminster, Colorado.
Mr. Clark is a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Operation Enduring Freedom in Kuwait and Iraq. He is an Executive Board member (Treasurer) of Hospice East and a member of the Powell County Industrial Authority Advisory Board , Kiwanis Club of Powell County (Former President), Powell County Lions Club, and the Red River Chamber of Commerce. He and his family reside in Clay City, Kentucky.
