COMMUNITY TRUST BANK ANNOUNCES CHRIS JOHNSON PROMOTED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT / CORPORATE SENIOR LENDER

PIKEVILLE, KENTUCKY: Mark A. Gooch, Chairman, President and CEO of Community Trust Bancorp, Inc., is pleased to announce that Chris Johnson has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President / Corporate Senior Lender at Community Trust Bank, Inc.

As Corporate Senior Lender Mr. Johnson leads commercial lending support activities and assists the Chief Credit Officer with the credit administration function. His office is located at the Community Trust Operations Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Mr. Johnson has worked for Community Trust Bank for more than 27 years. His previous positions at Community Trust Bank were Credit Analysis Manager, Credit Analyst, Staff Accountant, and Accounting Assistant.  He graduated from Virgie High School in Virgie, Kentucky and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Pikeville in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Mr. Johnson is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and is Credit Risk Certified (CRC) as designated by the Risk Management Association.  He is a member of Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), a member of the Kentucky Society of CPAs and an Associate Member of the Risk Management Association (RMA).  Mr. Johnson resides in Harold, Kentucky with his wife Elizabeth.
